A Bit of Moss

Hi, I’m the maker behind a Bit of Moss. This shop started with a simple idea: when you can’t find what you want in the world, you grow it yourself.

My work is rooted in who we were as kids. We believed in fairness, kindness, and the possibility of making things better. I like to think the kids we used to be would be proud that we are still trying.

A Bit About Me

I’m just another millennial trying to make something good in increasingly bleak times. My creative process is supervised (and occasionally interrupted) by Robin, my fluffy white cat who is convinced my Apple Pencil is a chew toy. I have always been an animal person, and I think that shows up in a lot of what I make.

I live in Minneapolis, a city I love for its creativity, resilience, and community spirit. It shapes a lot of how I think about making things that feel good for people and good for the planet.

I am progressive, queer, and firmly values driven. My daily life is a mix of touching grass and gaming. I take care of my pets and plants and show up on time for World of Warcraft raid.

A Bit About How Things Change

I am always learning and adjusting. Sustainability is a responsibility I take very seriously, and I love introducing people to recycled goods that feel thoughtful and well made.

Thank you for sticking with me as the shop grows. Every upgrade, swap, and redesign is part of building something sustainable in both the literal and emotional sense.

A Bit About Why I Do This

Bit of Moss exists alongside my full time job, which means I keep my margins thin and my mission simple: I want to share the ideas that make me feel something. My head is full of sketches, jokes, and tiny sparks of dopamine, and it feels wrong to let them fade when someone else might love them too.

Everything in this shop is something I would put on my own water bottle, PC case, or journal. These designs come from my own weird, nerdy, joyful corner of the world, and it means a lot to share them with you.

This shop is where I get to plant those ideas and see what grows. Thank you for being here to witness whatever sprouts next.

This is Robin, the brains of the operation.

I make things because it feels good, not because capitalism told me to. This button is just here in case you feel the same.
